Today, Governor Baker announced the beginning of reopening for the Commonwealth since the start of the COVID-19 crisis shutdown in March. Click here for the slides from the official Reopening Advisory Board. In Phase 1, Manufacturing and Construction are among the first industries to reopen, alongside essential businesses, with restrictions and some capacity limitations. Starting May 25th, limited personal services (hair salons, pet grooming and car washes), labs, office space (outside of Boston), and retail with curbside pick-up and remote fulfillment will be allowed to open for business. Office space in Boston will open June 1st. The Governor expects about 3 weeks between phases. See below for links to more information.
The MassHire Workforce System continues to deliver services to businesses and job seekers remotely and virtually. MWA will keep our members updated as plans for reopening in-person services emerge.
